CHEF Casual Role


Job Description

Key selection criteria:

  • Have a genuine passion for aged care and ideally demonstrate knowledge in the complex care needs of the older person
  • Previous experience with bulk cooking and banquets (preferably Aged Care and high-end Hotel environments)
  • Work independently with limited supervision and have the ability to supervise and lead a team of FSA’s
  • Prepare food as per set menu
  • Assist in ordering and budget control within the department as required and during Chef Manager leave
  • Basic computer skills required (email and on-line ordering)
  • Have excellent communication skills to work as part of a team
  • Ensure food and kitchen hygiene, safety practices and that cleaning schedules are compliant with the Food Safety Legislation
  • Knowledge of Aged Care legislation and aged care accreditation standards
  • Understanding of continuous improvement practices
  • Current Driver’s licence
  • Current Police check
  • Diploma of Hospitality
  • COVID & Flu Vaccinations
