Residents were treated to something a little different during last week’s Happy Hour.

Opera singer, Emily Szabo entertained a mesmerised audience with her extraordinary vocals.

The passion Emily has for opera was evident in her delivery. She has sung professionally for Melbourne Opera and Millennium Opera and is the recipient of a number of awards, most recently, the Diamond Valley Eisteddfod and the Richard Divall prize in the Herald Sun Aria. We were fortunate to secure her for an afternoon with the residents.

We have witnessed residents’ love for televised operatic concerts on the giant screen. However, to be immersed in a live concert takes their joy and appreciation to another level.

Clearly one of the ‘Happy Hour’ highlights!
