Golf Day 2016
The 2016 annual Toccolan Golf Day was held on Monday 4 April at the Kew Golf Club in Belford Rd East Kew. It was another great day of golf followed by a delicious presentation dinner.
Rodney Hogg, former champion Australian cricketer, was the guest speaker at the presentation dinner.
All proceeds from the day were again donated to the Assisi Centre. The Assisi Centre has now been the beneficiaries of this annual golf day since 2012.
88 players participated on the day , including members of the Assisi Centre Committee of Management. The winning team was captained by Nick Moran from Evolve IT, one of the sponsors of the golf day and a company that provides IT services to the Assisi Centre.
The Toccolan Golf Day was again a very successful day made possible by all the players, many generous sponsors and the hard work of Ernie La Torre, a Toccolan Club member, who organised the event.
The Toccolan Club is an Italian Social Club formed in 1990 by a group of people who share an Italian heritage, an enjoyment of life and a strong sense of community. The name derives from Tocco da Casauria, a small picturesque town in the Abruzzo region, where most of the founders’ parents emigrated from.
