January has rolled around and whizzed past at break-neck speed, after a busy festive season!

Assisi was a hive of activity leading up to Christmas and the centre was awash with colour, lights and all things sparkly.

Residents came together for a Christmas party, a little tipple and a visit from Santa, with a sack full of presents.

The Assisi resident choir, after weeks of practise, entertained us, unleashing their vocal talents.

On the day itself, residents enjoyed an Italian Christmas luncheon feast, full of traditional fare:

• Antipasto to start with, or its ‘nom nouveaux’, charcuterie board, and seafood platter
• Lasagne(naturally)
• followed by a choice of porchetta or turkey, served with seasonal vegetables
• Dessert featured panettone and pandoro served with mascarpone cream
• selection of mini pastries

We hope 2021 brings with it a safe return to normality.
