In an attempt to research Valentine’s Day, I was assailed with many and varied versions of what actually led to the day becoming synonymous with love and cupid and all of that.
Some historical information left me scratching my head as to how the link was ever made.
It’s current incarnation, it has been said, was created by the greeting card companies and the like.

However, none of that is very romantic.
Here at Assisi the day was celebrated with gusto and much ado.
There was music and chocolates and tables for two, for the romantically attached.
The lifestyle team lovingly decorated the auditorium and festive fare was served, making for a wonderful afternoon.

Residents had a great time, engaging in chatter and dancing. The smiles say it all.
