A visit to the Mill Park Library for those residents who are avid readers, stocking up on some goodreads.

….and what some of them can do with a pair of knitting needles and some wool will amaze…they show us how when they take their place at the knitting circle.

Wednesday: The beautiful Spring weather has inspired staff to organise a barbeque lunch, taking advantage of the sunshine in one of the many outdoor spaces.

Later in the afternoon we will have ‘Social Club’ where the residents gather to be entertained by Vincenzo and his seasoned piano playing while Nuccia cooks up a treat for everyone. What will it be this week, Nuccia, pizzelle, frittelli or biscotti? I’ll see if I can arrange to be passing by just as the first batch is plated up!

Thursday… a veritable treat with a visit to magnificent Monsalvat in Eltham. A leisurely stroll through the gardens and a coffee perhaps….

Among other activities residents can expect this week are ‘get fit’, tombola, walking group, Italian card games and Cameron’s men’s group, ending the week with Friday afternoon movie and ice cream.
