All the fun of the Assisi Spring Racing day was captured on film with residents and staff alike embracing the spirit of the season with ‘fashions on the field’ and a race to the finish line.

The prize for best hat went to Sebastiana Zappulla who was presented with a beautiful hamper.

Festivities continued into the afternoon with a (hobby) horse race, where residents competed for the inaugural ‘Assisi Spring Carnival winner 2014’ trophy. Competition was fierce, elbows were out, nostrils flared…and they’re off! A clean race was run but the clear winner was….Teresa Marmora. Congratulations Teresa, a well deserved win.

A celebratory glass of champagne and delicious afternoon tea to top off the day.
